Children’s Ministries
Volunteers are regularly needed to
aid and enhance our children’s
programs at All Saints’ Episcopal
Church. There is a need for woodworking,
painting, sculpting, sewing, calligraphy, photo copying, cutting
paper collage pieces and greeters. If any of these areas draw you,
please let us know. For more information please email:

Vacation Bible School
The theme for Vacation Bible School
at All Saints’ is the Bethlehem Marketplace.
Each year for one week the rooms
and grounds of the church are transformed into an authentic marketplace,
with tents, costumes and activities all created to encourage children
to imagine what it was like to live in the time of Jesus.
There are many ways to help, both
long before Bible school starts,
as well as during the week it takes place. There are also many
levels of involvement, from making snacks, to serving as a “Tribal”
mother, to teaching children how to make dreidals. We welcome all
help!

Office Helpers
Do you enjoy meeting
new people, answering questions, or filing? The church offices
at All Saints’ are always in need of friendly folks to help
in the office, and you even get your own desk to sit at!
Art, Furnishings, & Memorials
This group organizes
plans our church spaces when remodeling, furnishing, or updating
is needed. If you love color and design, and enjoy helping
make rooms more inviting and functional, this group would
love your help.
Church Helpers
This group of volunteers
gathers approximately every two months on Saturday mornings
to care for our grounds and to do small maintenance projects
inside the church buildings. Help is always appreciated, whether
you can come for one hour or four, and no experience is necessary.
Kitchen Ministry
Our dedicated kitchen
teams gather on a monthly basis to clean and organize our
Great Hall and Conference room kitchens. Volunteers are needed
for different crews to work once or twice a year for a Saturday
morning.
Capital Improvements
From overseeing the
installation of the sprinkler system to guiding the construction
of the atria, this group of volunteers manages capital improvement
projects both large and small.
Finance Committee
This committee meets
on a monthly basis to help oversee our budget and help determine
spending needs.
Stewardship
The Stewardship committee
is composed of a varied group of parishioners who plan and
implement our yearly stewardship campaign. This group meets
on a monthly basis during the year, with more frequent meetings
scheduled as needed during the campaign.
Long Range Planning
All Saints’ has been
in a sustained growth period for several years, and this group
is dedicated to planning for the next ten to fifteen years.
We are in the process of evaluating existing space needs,
and are looking for ways to improve our facilities, as well
as planning for new ones.
Vestry
During our annual parish
meeting each fall, we elect parish members to serve a threeyear
Vestry term. If you would like to be nominated for the Vestry
or would like further information about the role of a Vestry
member, please contact Glenn Smith, our Sr. Warden, at glsmith@bellsouth.net
Q: What does the Vestry
do?
A: A vestry is the
legal governing and
decision–making body of a parish church, consisting of the
rector and elected lay representatives. Its duties include
calling the rector, approving the budget, making policy, and
approving expenditures.1 As leaders of the church, vestry
members are responsive to the total needs of the parish and
act in the best interest of the parish as a whole.
Q: What are the qualifications
for nomination?
A: The Vestry of All
Saints’ Church is currently comprised of 18 members, one third
elected each year for a threeyear term. Under Standing Resolution
#5, a person considered for nomination to the vestry shall
be one who:
· Is committed to Jesus
Christ as Lord and
Savior, and to the
spreading and acting
out of the Good News
to all people.
· Faithfully and regularly
participates in the worship of this parish.
· Is actively involved
in the total life and ministry of the Church.
· Pledges a proportionate
amount of his or her income to support the Church, and whose
total giving for all charitable purposes is projected as a
tithe, or whose pledge is part of an increased percentage
working towards a tithe.
· Is a person who deeply
cares about people because His Lord does, and in this light
believes that the Church is people and that buildings are
only incidental.
